Website check

A free check for any website. Two scores in a few seconds: website health, and how well search engines and AI assistants can read the site. Plus the technology behind it.

A free SEO, AEO and GEO check in one.

More and more people ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews instead of clicking through search results. Those answers are built from websites that AI can read and trust. The check shows where your site stands, next to the technical basics every website needs.

Website health

Response time, page size and compression, the HTTPS certificate, security headers like HSTS and Content Security Policy, and the e-mail records SPF, DKIM and DMARC that stop others from sending in your name.

Search and AI

The classic SEO basics, from title and meta description to sitemap and indexing, plus what AI search relies on: schema.org data, business details, review data, text that is there without JavaScript and whether AI crawlers may read the site.

Technology

The CMS, frameworks, hosting, CDN, analytics and marketing tools behind the site, detected with the open Wappalyzer fingerprints for about 7,600 technologies.

Questions

Is the website check free?

Yes. It's free, needs no sign-up and you can use it as often as you like. We don't store the domains you check or the results.

What are AEO and GEO?

AEO (answer engine optimization) and GEO (generative engine optimization) make a website easy for AI assistants to understand, trust and cite. Where SEO aims for a good position in the list of search results, AEO and GEO aim to be the source an answer in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google AI Overviews is built on.

How do I check if AI assistants can find my website?

Enter your domain above and look at the Search and AI score. It shows whether your site has schema.org data, clear business details and review data, whether its content is there without JavaScript, and whether robots.txt lets AI crawlers in. Those are the things AI search can read before it decides to quote you.

Which AI crawlers does the check look for?

GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User from OpenAI, ClaudeBot from Anthropic, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and CCBot from Common Crawl. If your robots.txt blocks one of them, that assistant can't read your site and won't cite it.

Why do reviews matter for AI search?

AI assistants use reviews on trusted platforms to judge how far they can trust a business. According to an SE Ranking study of 30,801 commercial searches in Germany, review platforms are cited in 31.9% of Google's AI Overviews. Reviews marked up as schema.org data on your own site can also show as stars in search results.

How are the two scores calculated?

Every check is rated good, could be better or needs attention. Good counts fully, could be better counts half and needs attention counts nothing; pure information like the technology doesn't count. Website health covers speed, HTTPS, security headers and e-mail; Search and AI covers the SEO basics and AI search.

Why does my site look different in other tools?

The check looks at the home page only, the way a crawler sees it: one request from our server, without running JavaScript. Tools that render pages in a browser or crawl the whole site will find more. If your home page sends an empty page and picks the language in the browser, we follow to the language page.

Can you help us fix what the check finds?

Yes. We work behind agencies and companies on infrastructure, security, technical SEO and AI search. Send us your result and we'll tell you what matters most and what it takes to fix it.
